Rough Collie was created by crossbreeding the old race used as a sheepdog in the elevated areas of Scotland.

The breed has also been used to work as guide dogs for the blind, search and rescue dogs, and therapy dogs.

Collie breed comes in two variations, with short or long coat.

Today there are more long coated Collies than short coated ones, because long coat makes them look much more beautiful and graceful .
